Privacy policy

Duologue is run by Shaheryar Malik and Shaheryar Tariq in Finland. We are responsible for the personal data you share with us. You can reach us at any time at hello@duologue.fi.

When you request a match, we collect what you enter in the form: what you hope to get from the conversation, what you could bring to it, who you would like to meet, your city, when you are usually available, your name, email address and phone number, and your LinkedIn profile if you choose to add it.

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this website.

We use your details only to find you a relevant match, to introduce you to that person, and to contact you about arranging your coffee. When we introduce you, we share your name and the details needed to set up the meeting with your match.

We process your data because you asked us to find you a match (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

We keep your details while we are working on finding you a match. If there has been no activity at all for 1 year, meaning no matches, introductions or contact with us, we delete them. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will.

Your answers are stored in a private Google Sheet that only the Duologue team can access. Google processes this data on our behalf under its standard data protection terms, which cover transfers outside the EU.

Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy of it. Email hello@duologue.fi and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).
